Ingredients:
- 1 ½ – 2 Lb. Kalua Pork (Kalua Pork Recipe HERE)
- 1 Medium Cabbage: Cut in half and remove the center core, Rough Chop/ Ribbon cut into 1”-1 ½” slices
- 3 Tablespoon Water
Prepration:
Instant Pot
- **Remove Kalua Pork from Instant Pot and place in a plate or bowl and pull with 2 forks**
- 1 Medium Cabbage: Cut in half and remove the center core, Rough Chop/ Ribbon cut into 1”-1 ½” slices
- Place cabbage in the broth of kalua pork, set to 2 Minute High-Pressure Cook, then do the Quick Pressure Release
Serve: Plate cooked cabbage and add Kalua Pork or mix 1 ½ – 2 Lb. of Kalua Pork with cabbage and serve.
Traditional
- Add Cabbage and place pork on top in a pot with a lid (steel or cast iron)
- Mix and start cooking at low/medium heat to start steaming cabbage (5 minutes)
- Continue to mix and stir periodically until cabbage is cooked and tender, total cook time 15-20 minutes (al dente – if preferred).
- Cabbage will reduce and produce tasty broth from the Kalua Pork.
Crock Pot
- Add Precut cabbage to the pot at 20-30 minutes before the completion of the cooking time for the Kalua Pork is done.
