Ingredients:
- 1 ½ – 2 lb. Pork Belly
- 6 Large Garlic Cloves – Crushed
- 4 Slices Ginger (3-inch length)
- 1 Sm.- Med. Onion (Cut in quarters)
- Green Onions Finely chopped, ½ cup as garnish
Sauce:
- 1 Cup Som’ Good “Asian Wraps” Sauce
- 1 TSP Som’ Good “Garlicky” Alae Salt Seasoning
- ¾ Cup Water
Optional: 2 Carrots Diced
Preparation:
- Cut Pork Belly into 1-inch strips
- Instant Pot: Add Pork Belly and enough water to immerse pork, set Instant Pot to manual HIGH-Pressure Cook for “0” minutes, then Quick Pressure Release, remove and place pork in a separate dish, drain water, and remove any residue. (This will cleanse pork belly of any impurities)
- Instant Pot: Add Pork, “Sauce”: 1 cup “Asian Wraps Sauce”, 1 TSP “Garlicky” Alae Salt, ¾ Cup Water, Garlic, Ginger, and onion. Optional: Add Diced Carrots
- Set the Instant Pot to manual HIGH-Pressure Cook for 25 minutes, then Quick Pressure Release.
- Remove Pork, garnish with chopped green onions and, serve with white rice.
- Optional: Thicken Sauce by turning on Instant Pot to “HIGH – Saute” for 5 minutes or add 1 TBL Cornstarch.
Optional: “Make it your own” Spicy Add: 1 Chili Pepper, or 1 – 2 TBL Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce to the “Sauce” or “more to your taste”.
