Serves 6


  • 1 lb  chuck meat- stew meat cubed large chunks
  • 1 can  diced tomato 14.5 0z
  • 4 TBL  Tomato Paste
  • 3  medium carrots, peeled cut ½” round and halved
  • 3  Yukon potatoes, peeled cut into 1 ” cubes
  • 2  stalks of celery, cut ½” slices
  • Bell Pepper, cleaned and, cut ½” slices
  • 1Medium Onion – Quartered
  • 2  Bay Leaves
  • 2-3 TBL Olive or Vegetable Oil for Browning Meat
  • 1  cup  water
  • 4 TSP  Som Good “Garlic-ky” Seasoning


¼ cup  Som Good “Gourmet Seasoned Flour” – Flour Meat Before Browning

1 pounder beef stew


Step 1:

  • Select “Saute” on Instant Pot, add oil and brown meat till golden brown with some crust or brown in a separate frying pan.
  • Scrape and deglaze the bottom of the Instant Pot, Add: meat, onions, water, Garlic-ky seasoning, and bay leaves
  • Set Instant Pot to 17 min. High-Pressure cook, then do a “Quick Pressure Release”

Step 2:

  • Remove meat into another bowl and add remaining ingredients, vegetable, diced tomato, tomato paste, bay leaves and add meat on top
  • Set Instant Pot to 9 min High-Pressure Cook, then 10 min. “Natural Pressure Release” followed by “Quick Pressure Release”
  • Stir for several minutes, let cool and serve.

Traditional Cooking:

Step 1:  Low – Medium simmer  in a pot for 90 minutes

Step 2: Add vegetable and Low – Medium simmer 90 minu
